A prominent figure of the (NPP), Professor , has cautioned members of the party against engaging in divisive politics.
According to him, party members whose public utterances and actions promote division within the party and fail to foster unity do not have the interest and progress of the party at heart.
In his view, Professor Oquaye stated that such individuals have no place in the party, reiterating that their actions could significantly harm the party's electoral prospects.
Addressing party members at the official launch of the NPP school 'Patriotic Institute' on June 25, 2025, Professor Oquaye, a former Speaker of , said, "Anyone who pursues the pathway of division is not working in the interest of the party and he must be excused.
