A leading member of the Movement for Change, Solomon Owusu, has advised National Security authorities to strike a deal with their counterparts in the United States regarding the ongoing processes for the extradition of former Minister of Finance, , who has been declared wanted by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

According to him, Ghana's security authorities should strike a deal with the FBI, which has asked Ghana to extradite a number of Ghanaians interdicted in the US for allegedly engaging in money laundering and fraud.

Solomon Owusu, who made these remarks in an interview on TV3 on June 25, 2025, indicated that the deal would be in Ghana's interest and should be considered. "In the same way that we have extradition orders in this country to take out Ghanaians, those they call 'game boys,' I believe before the extradition order that was allowed by the Minister of Interior, he should have called for a better trade, so that while they are bringing in, we will also be sending our boys out. "After all, if we are going to measure the magnitude of our money that we are talking about, what the boys have been accused of having taken from the Americans is in the region of hundreds of millions.

What Kenyatta has been accused of is in billions," he said.
