Workers at the Accra Arts Centre are counting their losses after a fire broke out on the evening of Tuesday, June 24, destroying parts of the centre.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m.
and quickly spread through several shops.
Preliminary reports suggest the fire was sparked when a worker attempted to boil water using a faulty gas cylinder, which ignited and triggered the blaze.
