The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced the arrest of other officials in connection with ongoing investigations into suspected corruption and corruption-related offences involving contracts between the (GRA) and Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML).
In a statement issued on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the OSP named the suspects as Evans Adusei, Chief Executive Officer of SML; Philip Mensah, former Deputy Commissioner of Legal Affairs at the GRA, who is also the Legal Consultant to SML; Joseph Kuruk and Faustina Adjorkor, both staff of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA); and Kofi Nti, former Commissioner-General of the GRA.
The arrests are part of a wider probe into contracts awarded to SML for revenue assurance services.
The OSP said the investigation aims to establish whether the contracts were awarded legally and also verify claims made by SML regarding the effectiveness of its services in saving the country significant amounts of revenue. "The probe seeks to verify SML's claims that its services have been saving the nation significant revenues," the statement said.
