Former NPP parliamentary aspirant for Subin Constituency, Joseph Boakye Danquah, has entered the discourse on constitutional review, asserting that it will address many systemic issues in the country.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb on June 21, 2025, he commended President John Dramani Mahama for setting up a Constitutional Review Committee to improve the 1992 Constitution.
While noting that he is not calling for an overhaul of the country's governing statutes, he called for urgency to plug all holes in the laws that could be exploited for the wrong reasons. "There will always be a lacuna, but we must minimise the lacunas.
If there are too many lacunas, then the lawyers and other disingenuous people will always exploit the lacunas.
