The Office of the President has refuted claims that the Head of the VVIP Unit, Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Opoku, is involved in a land dispute with Ghana International School (GIS) in Accra.

This comes after some individuals attempted to deliver construction materials to part of the school's premises, allegedly claiming the land had been sold.

The school reported the matter to the Cantonments Police, leading to the intervention of both the school's security and the police, who blocked the attempts.

A statement issued by the Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, emphasized that the presidency has no interest in the disputed land. "The office of the president does not have any interest whatsoever in the piece of land in question," part of the statement noted.

It continued " No officer, agent or assign has been directed to secure and/or interfere in any matter pertaining to GIS land within Cantonment."
