The National Identification Authority (NIA) is calling on its staff to resume work as it works to resolve the ongoing impasse over unpaid Operational Support Allowances.

In a statement issued by Acting Head of Corporate Affairs, Williams Ampomah Emmanuel Darlas, the Authority acknowledged the legitimacy of the workers' concerns but appealed for calm and cooperation while steps are taken to address the matter.

The strike, led by the NIA Division of the Public Services Workers' Union (PSWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), began on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, raising concerns over delays in Ghana Card registration and verification services across the country.

Management revealed that a meeting had already taken place with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), led by Dr.
