The Member of for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has stated that the (NPP) could have performed much better in the 2024 general elections if the party's leadership had paid closer attention to the concerns of Ghanaians.

Speaking on ChannelOne TV's The Point of View on June 23, 2025, Boamah reflected on the party's past electoral fortunes, comparing the NPP's landslide victory in 2016, when it won by a margin of about one million votes and secured approximately 169 parliamentary seats, with its performance in 2020, when it won with over 500,000 votes and 137 seats, plus an independent seat.

However, the story was different in the 2024 general elections.

According to him, the 2024 election presented a different dynamic across the country, with noticeable dissatisfaction in key regions such as Ashanti, Eastern, and Greater Accra.
