Member of Parliament for Afadjato South, Frank Afriyie, has criticised endorsements of Former Vice President, Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, by former Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), describing them as misplaced and detached from the party's real challenges.
Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily on Tuesday, June 24, the MP questioned the political weight of such endorsements and called for a focus on rebuilding party structures rather than public declarations. "It is not for nothing that candidates who stand in the name of the NDC or NPP always perform very well in general elections.
It is because of the machinery they represent and the party structures," he said.
