The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Yaw Boamah, has admitted that his re-election in the 2024 general elections hinged largely on his performance in office, adding that without a solid track record, he would not have retained his seat. "If I hadn't performed well, I tell you, I would have lost the election," Boamah stated on Channel One TV's The Point of View on Monday June 23.

He acknowledged that the national mood was not in favour of the NPP, and that the electorate was clear and deliberate in their choices. "The 2024 election also taught us a few things - that Ghanaians don't make mistakes.
