Patrick Yaw Boamah, Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, has stressed the importance of thoroughly understanding the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) post-election report at the constituency level to enable effective planning ahead of the 2028 elections.
Speaking on the need for localised analysis, Boamah said in an interview on Channel One TV's The Point of View that, "I am of the view that aspects of the post-election report that affect constituencies must be known to them to enable them put in place the right measures to recalibrate and prepare themselves for 2028." He also called for constituencies to compare their own analysis with the Ocquaye report. "We as constituencies ought to do some analysis and compare with what the Ocquaye report also generated.
It hasn't happened," he added.
Boamah further urged the parliamentary minority caucus to conduct a deep and honest evaluation of its own performance following the elections. "We as a caucus ought to conduct an in-depth analysis of our performance as a caucus," he said.
