Oheneba Kwame Kyeretwie, the son of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has been admitted to study Astronomy at Wesleyan University in North Carolina, United States of America.
The price will very soon be studying the branch of science that deals with celestial objects, space, and the physical universe as a whole.
According to a social media account, "Ashanti Nation", which shared the news online, there is currently no public university in Ghana that offers Astronomy as a degree program. "Traditional universities are now getting involved academically but don't yet offer full degrees in astronomy.
KNUST (Kumasi) hosted the first national Astronomy & Space Science Conference in November 2023, signaling growing student interest," the post stated.
