There is currently growing tension within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency of the Western Region following a secret polling station registration exercise.
MyNewsGh.com has been reliably informed that the situation nearly led to fisticuffs between some members of the party, whose names have been conspicuously missing from the register in view of the political turmoil in the area.
Shocking in the latest development is that members of the NPP believed to be loyal to the former Corporate Affairs Manager for Ghana COCOBOD, Mr Fiifi Boafo, who, it is gathered, is lacing his boots to contest the seat in 2028, have been left out of the secret ongoing registration exercise.
Sources within the party revealed that the move was meant to consolidate the base of the former Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, George Mireku Duker, who was defeated in the 2024 polls for varying reasons.
