Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has cautioned that President John Dramani Mahama, despite enjoying a surge in public praise, will not be shielded from accountability.
Appearing on The Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, June 21, Prof.
Gyampo addressed the recent wave of commendation for President Mahama from individuals who had previously criticised his leadership. "Mahama is being touted with accolades from some people who had criticised him severely," he said.
He made it clear that while positive sentiments about Mahama's performance may grow, the findings and recommendations of the Office of the Registrar of Assets and Liabilities (ORAL) must still be enforced. "Whether Mahama's accolades are touted or not, the report of the ORAL will be implemented," Gyampo emphasized.
