Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has applauded the Appointments Committee of Parliament for what he described as a firm and principled stance in dismissing a "frivolous" petition against Supreme Court nominee, Justice Kwaku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo.
Speaking during the vetting session on Friday, June 20, 2025, Afenyo-Markin expressed satisfaction with the Committee's handling of the matter, following a petition submitted by Anthony Kwabenya Rau.
The petitioner accused Justice Ackaah-Boafo of misconduct, claiming he was insulted during court proceedings.
The nominee, however, has denied the allegations.
