The Appointments Committee of is vetting the final Supreme Court justice nominee of President , Justice Kweku T Ackaah-Boafo, on Friday, June 20, 2025.

This is after the House dismissed a petition lodged against Justice Ackaah-Boafo's nomination.

The petition, submitted by self-identified international human rights activist Anthony Kwabenya Rau, had temporarily stalled the vetting process amid a storm of allegations.

Rau accused the Court of Appeal judge of judicial bias, misconduct, and unprofessional behaviour, citing a courtroom incident at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) where he claimed the judge verbally attacked him and questioned his right to represent clients in Ghana.
