Parliament's Appointments Committee is set to vet Supreme Court nominee Justice Kwaku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo today, Friday, June 20, 2025, after an earlier suspension of the process was lifted.

The vetting was put on hold following a petition filed by Anthony Kwabenya Rau, who accused the judge of misconduct during a court session.

Rau claimed that Justice Ackaah-Boafo insulted and disrespected him, describing him as "arrogant" and "power drunk"-allegations the nominee has strongly denied.

Justice Ackaah-Boafo is the last of seven Court of Appeal justices nominated by former President John Dramani Mahama for promotion to the Supreme Court.
