The leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs backing Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the party, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, has said that all 60 MPs supporting the former Vice President have done so of their own free will.

Ampratwum-Sarpong, who is also the MP for Asante Mampong, spoke to Channel One News after a meeting with Dr Bawumia in Accra on Thursday June 19.

He said more efforts are being made to get other MPs who haven't declared their support yet to come on board. "The processes are about to commence to select our leadership in the party and one of the key ones is the flagbearership and that is where the focus is.
