Vice President and flagbearer of the (NPP), , intensified his on-street campaign on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Accra with surprise visits to lorry stations and markets.
The Vice President, who has adopted an energetic meet-and-greet campaign in markets, lorry stations, on the streets, and house-to-house in communities, stormed the popular Neoplan Station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.
Drivers, traders, and the public were excited to see Bawumia, and many moved to catch a glimpse and shake hands with him.
Dr.
Bawumia, whose style has been to exchange pleasantries with people at random, greeted as many as he could and interacted with many others, who seized the opportunity to have pictures with him.
The Vice President also paid a surprise visit to the offices of Tekecel, formerly Vodafone, where he interacted with the staff of the telecom network.
From there, Dr.
Bawumia moved to the Kaneshie Market, where he was mobbed by the traders, especially market women.
Scores of market women abandoned their businesses to warmly embrace Dr.
Bawumia, amidst chanting of his name in support.
Many also chanted the "It Is Possible" campaign slogan of Dr.
Bawumia as they welcomed him to their respective shops, with many following him as he moved around the market.
Dr.
Bawumia also had a similar reception later when he visited the Abeka Market and Nii Boi Town, where he interacted with community members from house to house.
