A Ghanaian woman known as Franca, an ardent fan of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has captured the hearts of many after her emotional and symbolic reaction to shaking hands with the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for the very first time.
Overwhelmed with joy and reverence, the woman stated that she would not use her right hand through out the week, describing the encounter as a lifelong blessing.
Speaking shortly after the interaction in a video posted on social media platform X, she revealed that she has always shown respect to the revered monarch by bowing in his presence - never daring to reach out for a handshake. "Since I was born, I have never shaken hands with Otumfuo until today.
I always bow when I come before him," she said with visible emotion. "But today, Nana Apinkra told him that wherever the Kotoko team goes, I follow it.
