The General Secretary for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua, has defended the decision to elect their flagbearer early ahead of the 2028 elections.
According to him, the party has decided to elect their leader early to esnure that the rancour within the party is settled.
He argues that if that is settled, the political party will have a leader to hold the government accountable to the people of Ghana. "We can acknowledge that currently, the rancour in the political party is about who becomes the flagbearer of the party.
