The National Identification Authority (NIA) has disclosed that more than 800,000 printed Ghana Cards remain unclaimed at its regional and district offices nationwide.
At a press conference on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Head of Corporate Affairs, Williams Ampomah Emmanuel Darlas, urged individuals who have not yet collected their cards to do so promptly. "We have registered about 18,777,623 Ghanaians.
As of this morning, we have issued over 17,499,800 cards.
Out of this number, 822,440 remain uncollected," he stated.
