Flagbearer hopeful for the (NPP), Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, has slammed the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) over its decision to change the internal elections approach to a top-down system.
Addressing the development during an interview on Sompa FM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Agyarko did not mince words in his strong criticism, expressing his disapproval of the NEC's decision, which he described as 'total nonsense.' He questioned the rationale behind the change in approach, which previously involved electing party executives before selecting a flagbearer, but has now been changed to prioritise the election of a flagbearer before executives.
