The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will be released by the end of July.
Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News on Tuesday June 17, John Kapi, Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, stated that the marking process is set to begin shortly and assured the public that the results will be ready on schedule. "We are now going to sort out and do our marking, but certainly by the end of July the results should certainly be out," he confirmed.
Mr.
Kapi also reflected positively on WAEC's conduct of the exams, noting that the Council had largely fulfilled its mandate to provide a smooth and fair examination experience for candidates nationwide. "I will say that on our part, we will pat ourselves on the back and say that we did a good job," he said. "Usually after examinations, what you expect as an examining body is that every candidate is provided the opportunity to write-in terms of questions, in terms of stationery.
