The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) officially concludes today, Wednesday, June 18, with candidates sitting for the final paper-Arabic (Essay & Objective).
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of this year's nationwide exams, describing the process as smooth and largely successful, despite a few logistical setbacks.
Speaking on Citi FM on Tuesday, June 17, WAEC's Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, commended the Council and its stakeholders for their collective efforts in delivering a well-organised examination. "I will say that on our part, we'll pat ourselves on the back and say we did a good job," Mr.
Kapi remarked. "Usually, after examinations, what you expect as an examining body is that every candidate is provided the opportunity to write-in terms of questions, in terms of stationery.
