A two-day manhunt across Minnesota ended with the arrest of 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter, the man accused of fatally shooting former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and critically injuring State Senator John Hoffman and his wife.
Disguised in a fake law enforcement uniform and driving a vehicle that mimicked a police cruiser, Boelter allegedly carried out a targeted attack-going door to door in what authorities believe was a politically motivated rampage.
A handwritten hit list discovered in his vehicle named over 70 public officials, primarily Democratic lawmakers and abortion-rights advocates.
Boelter was tracked down in rural Sibley County and taken into custody without resistance.
