Supreme Court judge nominee, Justice Senyo Dzamefe, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to judicial impartiality, declaring that his decisions are based solely on evidence, not personal relationships or political connections.
This strong declaration came during his vetting before Parliament's Appointments Committee on Monday, June 16, 2025.
Responding to a question from the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, Justice Dzamefe addressed concerns over a previous statement in which he reportedly said judges sometimes needed to lobby friends in government to secure the release of funds from the Finance Ministry for judicial operations.
The MP suggested that such reliance on personal connections could potentially compromise a judge's impartiality, particularly in cases involving those same individuals.
