President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Finance and Energy Ministers to closely monitor the ongoing missile exchanges between Israel and Iran, citing concerns over the potential impact on global oil prices and Ghana's economic stability.
Speaking during his thank-you tour of the Savannah Region on Saturday, June 14, Mahama noted that Ghana, despite recent economic progress, remains vulnerable to global shocks.
Mahama emphasised the need for the ministers to assess the full economic implications of the rising crude oil prices and to propose measures that would help shield Ghanaians from potential hardships linked to global instability. "Today too, I wish to reaffirm that our commitment to the people of the Savannah region will never shake.
Despite the work we have done in stabilising the economy, Ghana is not immune to the shock of global events.
