The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has postponed the implementation of the revised Energy Sector Shortfall and Debt Repayment Levy (ESSDRL), which was initially scheduled to take effect on June 16, 2025.

This decision follows a directive from the Minister for Finance after consultations with key industry stakeholders.

In an official notice dated June 13, 2025, and signed by the Commissioner-General, Mr.

Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, the GRA indicated that the Tariff Interpretation Order (TIO) No. 2025/004, which was issued under the Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1141), has been suspended until further notice.
