The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has dismissed suggestions that it is aligned with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following rumours linked to the political affiliation of the association president's spouse.
Speaking on Channel One's Newsroom on Friday, June 13, the GRNMA's Deputy Public Relations Officer, Philemon Gyapong, stressed that the association's decisions are made independently and without political influence.
He said the rumours gained traction during the association's recent nationwide strike, with some alleging the action was politically motivated-an assertion he described as baseless. "GRNMA has a very structured system.
