A leading figure within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr.
Bryan Acheampong, has issued a strong appeal for unity, discipline, and renewed commitment to the party's core values, as internal tensions continue to mount in the aftermath of recent political developments.
In a statement addressed to party members titled "Statement on Party Unity," Dr Acheampong acknowledged the rising friction among members, particularly evident in increasingly hostile exchanges on social media platforms.
He emphasised that while robust political debate is natural in any vibrant party, division and hostility pose a direct threat to the NPP's cohesion and long-term strength. "What is required of us all, and in particular the leadership of the party, is to ensure that hope is restored - through unity of purpose, maturity in conduct, and discipline in our ranks," the statement read.
