Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr.
Dominic Ayine, has disclosed entering into non-prosecution agreements (NPAs) with certain vendors who have agreed to be witnesses in the ongoing financial malfeasance probe at the National Service Authority (NSA).
The statement comes as investigations by the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) taskforce uncover significant evidence of wrongdoing, including the misuse of public funds and the creation of ghost names for financial gain.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Friday, June 13, Dr Ayine noted "We have made the decision to enter into non-prosecution agreements with certain vendors who have agreed to provide compelling testimonies as witnesses for the prosecution." Adding "In this regard, we have agreed not to disclose their names in this press briefing." Meanwhile, Dr Ayine announced that charges will be filed against twelve former officials of the National Service Authority (NSA) for their alleged roles in a payroll fraud scheme that led to a financial loss of over GH¢548 million to the state.
