The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), has issued a two-week ultimatum to the government, warning of a nationwide strike if agreed conditions of service are not implemented between June 16 and June 30, 2025.

The threat follows an emergency meeting of the Association's National Executive Council on Thursday, June 12, where members resolved to demand full enforcement of a new salary structure and improved service conditions previously agreed with government.

In a statement, CLOGSAG called on the Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment, Rashid Pelpuo, to ensure immediate action. "Within two weeks, that is, from Monday, 16th June, 2025 up to 30th June, 2025, CLOGSAG expects a positive response from government.

Failure to initiate implementation, the Association would have no other option than to embark on a nationwide strike," the statement read.
