Reverend Israel Eshun, founder of God Host Favour Chapel and Yesu Agyeme Herbal Centre, has been remanded into police custody following the discovery of his 2-year-old son's body buried within his church premises at Mankessim in the Central Region.

This update was made public through a viral post on social media on Friday, June 13, 2025.

It read, "Ghanaian man of God and founder of God Host Favour Chapel and Yesu Agyeme Herbal Centre, Reverend Israel Eshun, has been arrested and remanded in police custody, following the discovery of the body of his 2-year-old son, buried in his church building." The post noted that the pastor had informed his neighbours that his son was sick and that he was taking him to a health facility. "The man of God informed neighbours of his son's ailment and subsequently took him to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

However, he returned home shortly after, claiming the child was nonresponsive to treatment and had died on their journey back to Mankessim. "He proceeded to bury the 2-year-old without informing his wife and other family members, leading to a suspicion of wrongdoing," the post added.
