President has lauded the outgoing British High Commissioner to Ghana, Harriet Thompson, for her dedication to service during her tenure in office, as he bids her farewell.

Expressing deep appreciation for her service over the four years in office, the president highlighted key areas of ongoing cooperation between Ghana and the United Kingdom in a post shared on X on Thursday, June 12, 2025, by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah .

He commended Thompson for her positive engagements throughout her time in Ghana and acknowledged the enduring historical relationship between the two nations, describing it as being impressive. "We appreciate the partnership we have shared in the fight against terrorism.

We will continue to rely on the UK for help and cooperation in intelligence gathering and training to prepare ourselves in the event of any attack," President Mahama said.
