The Eastern Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has dismissed reports suggesting that unidentified individuals attempted to set the Nkawkaw fire tender ablaze during a recent emergency response.

In a statement issued on Friday, June 13, the Command described the media reports as "false and misleading," clarifying that no such arson attempt occurred.

According to the GNFS, the incident in question happened on Tuesday, June 11, around 9:16 p.m.
