Outspoken MP Sam George is turning down the volume on the NCA's clampdown-at least for now.

The Ningo-Prampram legislator has declared a grace period for the 64 radio stations shut down across the country, urging calm while solutions are worked out. "We're giving them a short window to do the right thing," Sam George stated, as he led calls for the National Communications Authority to reconsider its heavy-handed approach.

Backing this soft landing is none other than President John Dramani Mahama, who has stepped in with a presidential directive to restore the affected stations.

The President emphasized that media freedom must not be sacrificed, even as stations work to regularize their authorization.
