The newly elected chairman of the Christian Divine Church (CDC), Apostle Alex Aidoo, his Deputy Pastor Francis Baidoo, and senior pastors from the Pastoral Council paid a courtesy call on the Apinto Divisional Stool at Awudua.
The visit by the church leadership, whose headquarters is in Tarkwa, aimed to officially introduce the new chairman to the chiefs and express gratitude for their supportive role during the church's leadership crisis under former Chairman Apostle Ebenezer Boahen, who was accused of holding onto power despite serving two terms and exceeding retirement age.
The Tufuhene of the Apinto Divisional Stool, Nana Adu Panyin, addressing the church leadership, urged the chairman and his deputy to unite all aggrieved members, emphasizing that the church's success depends on its unity as one body in Christ.
He noted that the church's founder, the late Prophet John Taylor, was a true man of God and a gift to Tarkwa and Ghana, underscoring the Apinto Divisional Area's keen interest in the church's development.
