The Vice President of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), Samuel Alagkora Akologo, has made a passionate appeal to the government to act swiftly in resolving the ongoing impasse that has led to a nationwide strike by nurses and midwives.
Speaking in an interview on Citi Eyewitness Nes on Tuesday June 10, he emphasised the psychological toll the strike is having on the union's leadership and expressed concern over the growing frustration among members. "We are pleading that they should let us solve this problem as quickly as possible.
We can't sleep.
We are worried, but the situation is such that it is very difficult to engage our members," he said.
