Ghana's embassy in Washington, DC, has processed 2,943 visas after the embassy was opened following a brief shutdown.
In an update post shared via social media, the Foreign Affairs Minister indicated that efforts are underway to ensure the backlog of visa applications is cleared.
The embassy is currently implementing public responsiveness policies to make their work more transparent and accessible to clients.
The Foreign Affairs Minister used the opportunity to reassure Ghanaians living abroad of combating corruption, eliminating conflicts of interest, protecting applicants from criminal exploitation, redeeming Ghana's image abroad, and serving you better with efficiency and integrity.
