A 34-year-old farmer, Daniel Dziwornu, has been sentenced to three years imprisonment for having sexual intercourse with his 21-year-old biological sister between the year 2020 and 2024.
Dziwornu pleaded guilty with explanation that he had sexual intercourse with the victim due to the influence of alcohol but the Court said his explanation could not exonerate him of the crime, and therefore entered a plea of guilty for the convict.
Chief Inspector Charles Aziati, Prosecuting told the Hohoe Circuit Court presided over by Mr Lambert Y.
Keriba that the act of the convict was "barbaric, unacceptable and deviant" to ethics and culture.
