The Minority in Parliament has raised serious concerns over what it deems unnecessary delays by the Ministry of Finance in disbursing funds essential for the effective functioning of Parliament.

The opposition MPs argue that these delays are severely undermining the work of parliamentary committees, many of which are now unable to operate due to a lack of financial support.

During proceedings on the floor of the House on Friday, June 7, Chairman of the Assurances Committee and MP for Bimbilla, Dominic Nitiwul, highlighted the financial constraints hampering parliamentary duties.

He appealed to the Finance Minister to urgently release the requisite funds to facilitate the proper running of Parliament's affairs. "Parliament is now literally begging for money to enable its committees to function.
