Contract workers engaged by the Electoral Commission (EC) in the Greater Accra Region for the 2024 general elections are demanding overdue payments for services rendered.
Despite several follow-ups, the workers hired in December 2024 say they have not received the compensation they were promised.
The affected workers played key roles in the electoral process, serving as presiding officers, verification officers, name list reference officers, and ballot issuers.
They were instrumental in ensuring a smooth and credible election.
