The Upper West Regional Police Command has secured the conviction and sentencing of two men involved in a string of robberies within the Wa Municipality.
Abdulai Ibrahim, also known as Baba, a 34-year-old driver's mate, and Abdulai Kipo, a 36-year-old butcher, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit robbery and multiple robbery charges.
The Wa Circuit Court, presided over by His Honour Jonathan Avoogo, sentenced Ibrahim to 28 years in prison with hard labour and Kipo to 18 years.
According to the police, the pair were responsible for a series of armed attacks in areas including Napogbakole, Danko, SSNIT, and Konta all within the Wa Municipality.
