A tragic road accident on the Asesewa-Abuosso stretch in the Eastern Region has claimed one life and left several others in critical condition.
The victims, members of the Susana Wesley Mission Auxiliary (SUWMA) from Prampram, were returning from a visit to Boti Falls when their bus, carrying 26 passengers, collided with an Opel Astra taxi near the Abuatsam community.
According to eyewitness accounts, the accident occurred after the bus reportedly suffered brake failure and veered off the road into a valley.
One person died at the scene, while others sustained serious injuries.
