A youth organiser of the (NDC) in the Ada constituency has accused Emmanuel Tetteh Kabu, the constituency chairman of the party, of physically assaulting him during a meeting on Wednesday June 4, 2025.

Michael Siameh, the youth organiser for the Lenobinya Branch A of the NDC, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that he was allegedly slapped by the chairman during a discussion over internal party matters, claiming to be experiencing sharp pains in his head, neck, and other parts of his body following the incident.

He indicated that the confrontation arose during a discussion concerning alleged appointments of friends and families, including individuals affiliated with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) into public positions within the district.

He said tensions escalated after he commented on a social media post made by the party's communication officer about the appointments, which reportedly did not sit well with the chairman. "I only made a contribution to the statement, but the chairman was upset and insisted that I should have consulted him before making any comments.
