The Minority in Parliament has declared plans to protest the government's recent GH¢1 increase in the price of petroleum products.

The increase, the caucus says contradicts the government's earlier directive for commercial drivers to slash transport fares by 15%.

They described the new fuel levy as a betrayal of Ghanaians already grappling with economic difficulties.

Speaking to journalists, Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh called on the government to either withdraw the levy or significantly reduce it.
