Nana Akua Afriyie, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Ablekuma North, has firmly dismissed demands for a re-run of elections in 62 disputed polling stations, maintaining that she won the 2024 parliamentary contest outright.
The constituency has been without a Member of Parliament for six months due to unresolved electoral disputes.
Afriyie, who recently joined the Minority Caucus in Parliament to petition the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over the impasse, asserted that she secured a legitimate victory. "If you won, would you like them to have a re-run? We won the election hands down, so there isn't going to be any rerun.
