, the legal counsel for Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the (NPP), has confirmed that his client is scheduled to return to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on June 4, 2025.
Speaking exclusively to 's parliamentary correspondent, George Ayisi, Appiah-Kubi said that although his client, who was released from EOCO custody after being detained for six days, is expected to report to the agency, they have not yet done so, as they are still awaiting communication from EOCO following an earlier agreement. "I'm supposed to go to EOCO with my client today and the agreement was for them to call me one hour ahead of the scheduled meeting.
I have not received a call yet.
I'm going to try and call them and see if they are ready for us," he stated.
