Members of the Minority Caucus in Parliament have taken their concerns to the Ghana Police Headquarters, demanding urgent action over the Electoral Commission's delay in declaring the parliamentary election results for the Ablekuma North constituency following the 2024 General Elections.

Leading the charge, Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh Dompreh addressed journalists on Wednesday, June 4, stressing the need for police intervention to ensure the Electoral Commission can proceed with the official declaration. "The absence of a declared MP for Ablekuma North constitutes a serious violation of the constitutional right to representation guaranteed under the 1992 constitution," he stated, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

The Minority's petition calls for immediate measures to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process and ensure that constituents of Ablekuma North receive their rightful representation in Parliament.
